Short Shifter Brush!
i know what you are thinking, another short shifter question, but i did my research this time, nothing about the short shifter. but my question is, what are short shifter brushing? i read something about under hood, and something else. help .. plus what does it do? thanks.

The information on bushings is out there, but here's the low-down: You can get two sets of bushings (generic term for rubber or urethane pieces that act as a buffer between surfaces) for your shifter, one for the base of the shifter in the cabin, and the other for the shift linkages beneath the hood.
The base bushings provide a more solid mounting surface for the big ol' plastic shifter assembly, while the underhood bushings give each shift a crisp, Wolverine-like "snickity-snick".
If you're already taking the time to yank apart your interior to install a short shifter, GET BOTH SETS. You will not be dissapointed. For the price, these should be mandatory purchases for the manual gearbox =)
