how stupid i am! melted climate control knobs!

man today i was messing with the climate control knobs on my car, trying to spray paint them with metallic black. i accidentall oversprayed, so i asked my uncle what to do, and he handed me a bottle of "paint stripper". I sprayed that thing on the knobs and waited 30 minutes for it to strip the paint so i could repaint after. i came back after 30 mins and DARN! the knobs were like half melted! the black plastic and the orange color paint stripper totally blended together, creating some sorta of alien egg substance on the ground....

waaat can i do......
