to get the bulb out of the ashtray do u just pull it? i swear that thing dont want to come out so im thinking there might be more to it. thanks in advance

You have to take the whole shifter console out to get access to the bulb. It just twists out when you have the thing upside down.

 

does anyone know the bulb number for the ashtray and cig. lighter bulb? i had my ashtray bulb burn out on me, i removed it, and put it in my armrest. unfortunately it got crushed somehow and discount auto parts doesnt carry the bulb number in their system

 

when i went to get mine the auto parts store(advance auto) didnt carry it but i jst looked @ the bulbs for one tht lookd about right....the guy said try it and if it didnt work try another...it workd da first tyme so jst guesstimate...

 

lol, i was there yesterday, the guy said heres three dif types, all looked right, i didnt want to buy them though and just ''hope for the best'', he was like, well, take apart the center console, of which i did earlier at work while it was raining, and i was like, well, if thats how its gunna be i'll be back when i take it apart again, there is no reason why they carry all these books and computer catalogs of info when they dont know the one part you need, dammit

 

thnkfully the guy gave me the option to return them if if they didnt work

cuz they sell LEDs

 

The bulb size is a #74 bulb. I also sell the regular incandescent bulbs or the LEDs. And for future reference, yes you can just pull it straight out. If you can't get a good grip, you can even use pliers if you are careful - it's worked for me.

 

i wrapped duct tape around it and pulled. works like a charm

 

Didn't realize you sold LEDs too. Then by all means. Everyone go to Z.

Follow these steps....

 

I took the whole center console off since i was installed other bulbs also, but it was pretty easy to get out from the back.

 

What bulb did you replace it with? Do you have any pics?

Just curious cuz I did mine blue over the weekend

 

I did mine all blue. I dont have any pics of them right now, but ill take sum in the next couple of days.
