He broke the F@G rule for sure but he has been such a helper to everyone here and to RRM. I will talk to him and hopfully cool him down. Hope that this show of support will encourage him to change his mind.

I did notice that since Boe was banned certain antangonistic members have not been posting. There are more than a few that have harrassed BOE and perhaps prompted his error in vocabulary usage. They do not like his kinda of justice apparently and have decided to name search his posts in an effort to agitate him. That I suppose is what is not fair... not that Boe got banned for saying F@G!

I'm just wondering blacksheep... you said there were recent changes and you can't ban anymore right? Is this due to you banning boe which was kinda a bad call i think... I mean come on... a warning for someone like him should have been given and then let him edit it out.

He may have not even seen the new rules/policies when you jumped and banned him. Hell he's been around for years on here that i can see. He was the first with the lancer in many things.

Also i'm wondering if he should have really been banned. I've seen many other posts where people go off and the post just gets closed. Those guys aren't banned! WTF!! I mean seriously it's either fully enforce or show a heart and inforce what is really needed.

Boe's banning wasn't something that i think was needed since another member has been aggitating him for months. Sometimes you just gotta let it out or it will consume you ya know.

Sweet_bucket - if you don't read the rules, that doesn't make it OK. Ignorance of the law doesn't allow you to break it.

The rule says that if you do X, you get banned for a week.

As for the rule change - the 4 people who run the site (Admins, SuperMods) felt that EvolutionM.net should be more consistent. Rather than me doing what I think is fair and someone else doing what they think is fair, there are now 4 people who will try to do the same thing everytime.

No, I don't feel that it was me banning Boe that caused it. The rule says "First violation leads to a one-week ban." I did EXACTLY that.

Rock - personally, I think it's more of a "those people have been warned" matter than a "all they do is try to bother Boe" matter.

 

This is unfortunate. Boe, you should stay. This site will be losing a valued member. However if you do feel like leaving please tell us where you will be going so that we might be able to follow. Things on this board have become much to political as of late and quite frankly I'm tired of it as well. Some Mods and many, many patrons of this site are acting very childish.

As for what instagated this whole thing all I have to say is that I've meet Greenpsycho in person and he seems an honorable fellow who believes in what he says. I have been on these boards for some time and only know Boe through what he has said but to me, he also, is a honorable fellow. I have been whitness to some very contempuous, knock down drag out fights about their beliefs and I think that both need to just agree to disagree in an agreeable manner. Both of you guys need to step back and realize that while a good debate about products and ideas is good, there is nothing benifitial about becomming personal in your attacks.

To ban someone like Boe is just stupid. DO A FREAKING SEARCH all of you who think it's fair and always yell :SEARCH.
Guess who you will find answering all the questions over and over again. I was suprised seeing him giving answers to nOObs when everyone else was flaming them.

Why would you ban someone who contributed so freaking much to EVOM?

It's fair because he broke the rules but Boe out of all should get special treatment because of who he is.


I'm angry because there were probably almost a hundred PMs I have sent him and he was more helpful then anyone. Thx to him my car is still drivable.

i have been banned also from breaking a evom rule agains boe himself (remember the phen spacers).. doesnt mean that i left or hate the admins or hate boe.. but the rules are the rules

BUT reading from the events.. the fair thing to do was to have banned them all (meaning all that were involved)
im really bummed out since boe gives a lot to the comunity.. you should stay
