Dyno Tune

I ordered the RRM v.2 piggy back yesterday, got an appointment to get it installed and dyno tuned next tuesday the 27th at AMS and i'm wondering what i should be expecting price wise. They couldn't tell me because they haven't put this piggy back in a lancer yet. If anyone has just a hint of what i might be looking at cost wise that be real cool, thanx.

why would u need to dyno tune the piggy? its plug and play unless u got the software from rrm as well then... anyway i think AMS charges $75-$100 a pull if ur tuning not a 100% on that price tho.

and installing the piggy is very simple if u can wait till the 3-4 of jan il install it for u

Come to see me on Thursday with a solderer ($10) and I can install it for you. As John said, you don't need to tune it but if you really want, expect about $200.00 or so but I doubt AMS will have the software to tune SplitSecond.

^^he's right. simple install and there is no tuning necessary unless you got the software somehow. for a first timer the install takes around an hour maybe a little more. it's clean, simple, and easy. if you can't do it yourself, i'd take up the previous offer.

Why are you guys still asking that question... We've answered it many, many, many times. And we always answer with the same thing... Look up the tuning forum and find your answer.

Non-n00b member should take their head out of their b*tt and start using the search button too.

For your convenience... the answer will most likely be in:

I won't be really expensive... The piggyback comes pre-tuned. Ams will just have to enhance the map which takes less time than making one from scratch. Expect anything between 100$-400$ for 1 or 2 hours of dyno-tuning

I read those, still not really getting why it would need to be Dyno tuned if it is just plug and play. that one guy said he paid $400 and it got him the same numbers that came on the base map. I would like to be able to go an install this with one of you guys, cause i really wanna learn more about the technical side of things, but I also wanna start building a relationship with AMS because this summer I'm lookin to get a 2nd gen eclipse (not to replace but in addition too) and they know what they are talking about when it comes to turbo + Mitsubishi. I called them today and I'm just gonna have them install it and not get it strapped to the Dyno...

I decided not to go to AMS cause they wanted $100 and went to Drivers Image today. new question is, 34.5 miles later the service engine soon light came on, is this gonna go away once the pig learns or do i to get something else?

Get the code pulled and we'll see what we can do.
If you get P0102 > Bad Connection

Im a total newb, but could I suggest getting RRMS CEL eliminator? It's only like $19 plus shipping, and it looks real nice. Supposedly it will work with any header combo.
