OBX makes NOTHING specifically for the Lancer...call the company and ask them yourselves....they have plans to, but haven't done **** yet.

 

Even so, there's no risk in it for me (read my the first post). I'll let you all know how it works out. I might have to mod a bit, but that's cool with me.

i almost bought one of those intakes for like $39 at "buy it now" but i decided not to. Im just going to wait an get RRM ram air intake

 

Man i just got finished buying a short ram intake for my oz, is there some bad connotation with buying it from ebay?

 

all of the intakes on ebay say they fit the 1.8L Lancer.... they dont use the 1.8L engine in the '02+, right? whats the deal with that??

 

I don't really know. I'm not expecting it to be an exact fit, because I'm fairly sure it is made exactly for the 97 Mirage (the car my Bebe drives). I wouldn't get one unless you are planning to custom install it.

And no, there's nothing wrong with buying from Ebay. Just make sure you know what you are getting before you bid.

 

JUST GOT THE INTAKE!

and from first glance, it really does look like it'll fit. the filter location just isn't where every other SRI seems to be. if i can find a pic online showing it, i'll post it. basically, it bends 90 degrees down, then 90 degrees towards the closest quarter panel. the filter is point towards the quarter panel, rather than forward as in most intakes.
