the W actually stands for weight. its a 30 weight oil with a 5 detergency rating.

 

The manual also says it's better to run 10w30 in the summer and 5w30 in the winter. I believe there's a chart or something showing this.

Has anybody noticed 5w30 getting about 50 more miles to a tank than 10w30???
