oil filter relocaton

For a lancer es, 05 would "(M20 x P1.5)" be the right thread size for our cars? Thanks

Why do you want to relocate your oil filter?

because I don't want to use a oil filter block mount for my oil pressure sending unit - and the relocation kits come with the places to screw in your stock and aftermarket oil pressure sender.

Easier to get too, cooler (heat, not hipness) location, etc.

Easier to get to the filter? How could it be any easier without getting in the way? I change my oil with the car on the ground because of its placement. Just reach under and twist.

20 x 1.5mm is the thread on it BTW so you were right.

I need to add a oil pressure sending unit. Having read other threads on the subject, some people have stated they don't like using the oil filter block to do so as it puts the filter a little low towards the ground - an extra 1.5 inches or so. I figured if I got a relocation kit - they already come set up for a pressure sensor - I wouldn't have to worry about hitting the ground with my oil filter. My car IS still stock, but hopefully that will change one day. In the mean time, I'd really like to install my oil pressure sending unit. Does that make sense?

To be honest, I doubt you'll crush the filter with it 1.5" lower. But that's just me. Do what you like.
