Muffler Guard

Ok. I got the o5 es.
Need a bumper guard, from my muffler - not a muffler guard - sorry.
We've seen all the different metal and carbon fiber (ebay, carbontrix, etc). So now is the time I need to improvise. Suggestions for what might work out best?

Thanks all

I actually think its a good question, just not asked very well. He does have newbie in his name ..

I think he's looking for something similar to what RRM sells for the evo:

I was actually thinkinging the other day, that if someone made one that fit my kenstyle kit in CF, I'd buy it. <--- Note to Lancer vendors

It sounds as if you want to create a muffler tip guard on your own. You could probably get a piece of aluminum and cut it to shape and mount it on there. Or you could learn how to make a mold and do it out of CF. All depends on how much you wanna spend on it, your tools and how adventerous you wanna be.

i made my own out of metal on my first lancer.

just bent the metal around my thigh....ironically it was a perfect bend for the exhaust cutout in the bumper.

we had several very large threads about this a couple months ago. Rock wont make them b/c there are too many different bumpers o nthe lancer. Just get some sheet metal and cut a shape you like and use self tapping screws into the plastic of the bumper.

hrm... I'm down with sheetmetal. I just joined the sheet metal workers union - but I don't know anything about bending metal to attach to the bumper. I guess I'll just buy a generic ebay one. Thanks for all of the helpful input....

no offense, and I LOVE rrm, but they are not the only vendors on these boards. It always seems like people associate vendor with 1 or 2 companies. Maybe one of the vendors that make or distribute the ken bumper could make one...... That is what I meant at least.
