Does anyone have an electric turbo on thier lancer?

so i was browzing how to increase hp on my extremely underpowered lancer that all my friends make fun of cuz its slower than a minivan.... and i came across these electric turbo blower thingys, so i got more into it and i saw that it can create like 3 pounds of boost, so i bought an e-book on how to build one for like 9 bucks (im still kickin myself for that) but it was 2 in the morning and i was delerious, so i was just wondering if anyone had one or knew how they performed.....

You'd be better off getting a Tornado "Fuel Saver" metal insert.

They are crap. 3psi is just a rate, it doesn't tell the whole story. CFMs is another important measurement they are conveniently leaving out. Those little fans can't provide enough volume of air to make a difference and actually become a restriction.

Bought one off ebay for around $95 shipped, hooked it up to my battery and test drove it, did not feel any difference. I borrowed a large marine battery and put it in my trunk, hooked the electric turbo up to that seperate of my electrical system and felt no difference.

Only thing that may have been different is turning it on to peel out in 1st gear.
I didnt have to rev it as high as normal and didnt hear any bogging sound.

I can't believe anyone would use an "electric" turbo.. That's just a little worse then putting the tips in your exhaust pipes to make it sound like you have a turbo..

Newbz is a good word, but I would rather call them Ricers...

I've only been on this site for a few days and have already found out if you want more power then what your lancer has, you sell it and get the Evo.. Hell 3-4k for a turbo kit.. bleh.. That's a nice down payment on a AWD turbo'ed car.
