2.0L internals compatability

I was wondering if I could buy some forged pistons for a 4g63 Evo motor and put it in my 4g94 OZ Rally edition motor...and was wondering the same about the rods too...i mean theyre both 2.0L...if I got the block bored out, would it be possible?

G94 bore x stroke = 81.5mm X 95.8mm
G63T = 85.0mm x 88.0mm (I think... this is all from our beloved wikipedia)

So I'm thinking you'd have to bore out way more than the engine can handle. Why not just get some forged pistons that are known to fit? RPW can hook you up.

When it comes to those particular parts for our cars, you'll pay out the @ss for them... Good luck!

The RPW site appears to have undergone a major change since I was on last week. IIRC their replacement pistons were going to be closer to $400 and the rings about $100. So it's not free (I mean how much do pistons cost for other cars?) but it's also not $700. Plus they can source just about any compression you want if you contact them. Forged pistons will cost upwards of $1000, but that's for any Lancer vendor. Again RPW can get different CR pistons.

high boost needs low compression and the Lancer engine will not take nitrous for several reasons. Forged pistons will take the heat from high boost whereas standard aluminum pistons, even lower compression, won't (they'll melt).

well for many reasons i want to do nitrous, and i am willing to do the internal upgrades to every extent. after all the readings its lookin like a hit or miss, but are you saying that rods, pistons, rings, the worx wont do sh*t for me? i'll still have a detonation?

I'm not trying to be an *** or anything, but if you want to do all this why not either just get an EVO or talk to RRM!!!!?

y does it always have to be about an evo? if i had an evo i'd wanna waste money in that too? but to make somethin that has just about 0 hp and mke it have somethin that can be looked at as somewhat respectable is an accomplishment. thats like tellin someone to sell their neon and buy an srt4? wouldnt u rather buy somethin w/ no hp at all and make hp? it would be a lot easier to talk to RRM if i wasnt in Florida, and i'd think they'd help a lil if they themselves didnt *** up 2 motors themselves on nitrous.

I think with the lancer the problem with nitrous isn't simply the pistons or the rods, it's the whole engine. Sadly enough a honda could probably handle nitrous better than a lancer.
