Can we do this to our Lancers?

Many have said it, and many have discussed this but finally, I wanna know an answer. Is this possible to do on our cars. Match the same location of the battery on a lancer like the evo?

That's a great idea provided you didn't have a SRI in the way.

^ Oh yea, obviously... I'm going turbo so the pipe would run closer to the Valve cover so this setup would be ideal for me.

Find someone with a stock EVO and look at there battery tray. Maybe you can order one from Mitsubishi.

NO, it will NOT work.

Been there, tried it, had to resell it. The Lancer does not have the Evo's battery mounting hardware.

Yeah, a mini battery will fit. But there's no way to bolt the tray to the frame, as I recall. Unless you do some custom work...

what does the stock tray bolt to. Can't you just use one of those bolts.

The stock tray is in a different location, if you didn't catch that already.

Or if you mean the stock Evo tray, then the Lancer doesn't have the correct mounting points, as I've already said.

It's all about trial and error. Over the past 5 years, different Lancer owners have tried different parts to see what fits. I happened to be the guy who tried the battery bracket.
