Evo skidpad #'s

Just wonderin what the Evo VII pulls on the skidpad.

I'd love to see if it's over 1.0g

that'd be nice... Even if it's not over 1.0g it should be close, so with some grippy tires and upgraded suspension it should be over 1.0g

well with current rally suspension it definitely won't be good for skidpad.

why lower suspension and not be able to go over rough terrain? its a rally car not an F1. personally i value the versatility of the softer springs.

I was actually jst wondering about the #'s I had no real plans of doing this...

Although it would be tempting....

How much would I actually rally this car?? comparing that to how much I'd want to be driving through twisties is very slim.

I do love the versatility of the suspension, but how much will any of us actually be rallying with it??

From: houston tx,
I think I read somewhere that they are around .98 I could be wrong though. With suspension modifications it shouldn't be hard to get it to at least 1.

they do have rallies on tarmac...they sit very low and would do really good on the skidpad

In real rallies they modify the suspension before each race to suit whatever a certain track's conditions are. I play Colin McRae Rally 2.0...don't mess with me!

The evo off the lot will have the suspension set for all around use. True that I wouldn't actually rally it but there are bumpy roads that i'd like to go fast over instead of have to slow down for.

The appeal of this car to me is its rally attitude. I guess it makes sense though if some want it just as a speedster on tarmac.

I would LOVE to rally with it, maybe even go really fast over some bumpy roads, but I don't really have the opportunity to do so living in the cities and all

I'll probably end up buying a fully customizable suspension down the road that way I can tune it to whatever I'm plannin on doin

Performance numbers

They got .95 on the skidpad for the EVOVII and a 1/4 of 12.9 @ 106.

For comparison:
BMW M3 .91 1/4 of 13.2 @ 109
Audi RS4 .87 1/4 of 13.1 @ 108
Chevy Z06 .99 1/4 of 12.5 @ 115
Viper .99 1/4 of 12.2 @ 119
Ferrari 360 Modena .96 1/4 of 12.8 @ 112.5

If ours has 20 less HP then we're looking at low 13's with a hard launch.

Did'nt you guys see the Sport Compact car a few moths back with the red Jap spec EVOVII on the cover? They did a comparison between the VII and the VI. The VI ran the quarter 12.9 the VII was in the upper 13's (they said bad conditions, I think the smaller turbo is not helping things though). I beleive they had skid pad numbers for both. I recall the VII's being at .95. It was higher on than the VII mainly because they went to a 235 on a 17X8 vs the VI with 225's on a 17x 17.5. Those are good numbers for DOT tires. Through on a set of Victor racers and you should pul 1.1 once up to temperature.

They did say there was lots of grip but never gave lateral G numbers for the VII. The VI was rated at .95 I think. How the heck do they draw those huge circles anyway?
