just because the V1 costs more doesnt mean it is better.

V1, Bel rx65 pro, and the passport 8500 xp are all great with excellent range. I chose the Bel because thats all i have used. Last time I checked though, Bel and Escort/Passport merges somewhere. Their newer detectors are very similar and i believe they can use the same plug.

The Valentine One is still #1 according to the latest unbiased independent radar detector test.

Nobody cares what Radartest.com has to say because it is run by Craig Peterson who works for Beltronics/Escort and he bashes the V1 any chance he gets.

Also, Radarbusters.com doesn't sell the V1 so why would it promote it or produce information that it was better than Beltronics or Escort products that Radar Roy sells.

By the way, the Guysoflidar.com is a group of open-minded guys that are members of the Radardetector.net forum that is run by Radar Roy of Radarbusters.com and their testing proves the Valentine One is still #1.

While with others you have you buy a whole complete unit; with V1 you pay about $40-70 every 2 years to have it upgraded and/or reflashed to the latest standards. I love my V1 , saved my *** many a time.
If I didn't have the V1 I would have the bel RX65

GET ONE NOW BEFORE YOU GET A TICKET.

Bel RX65 and I love it.
I might be buying a laser jammer to go with it so I can have total protection but for now, the RX65 is great.

For a damn good radar detector you have to be willing to spend over $250 A.K.A. RX65 http://www.beltronicspro.com/
OR
V1 http://www.valentine1.com/.
Just poke around on google.

I have cobra in my car, my boss and his wife both have beltronics detectors in their vehicles. Both have their share of false alerts.

I got mine off Ebay from a company that sells them on there all the time. It was pretty cheap, I think around $230 shipped.

it has the pop2 mode (Ka) for the 2006 models and by far is the best.
