Stock 4G93 IM

I am getting ready to buy some headers and then going to look at throwing one of the 4G93 Intake manifolds on. First of all, which year(s) Mirage do they have to come off of? And will there be a noticeable difference even without the porting etc.?

It would seem that you want the one from the 1997 1.8L ideally, though it would seem any 1997+ 18.L mainfold that is for a non-turbo 4G93 will do the job. I'd recommend searching this for more info.

Without porting, I think it's supposedly worse than the stock 4G94, being as it's smaller and designed for a smaller throttle body. However, once ported, it's shorter length and better flow makes it superior to our stock and possibly to our ported one, though I cannot say about the latter.

Without porting it is better than the stock 4G94 because it has better flow.

I wasn't sure because the size is apparently quite smaller, thanks for correcting me.

Anyone know how complicated install is from personal experience? In that one how to it seemed like he fabbed up quite a bit of stuff. I was given a quote for $100 to install by a local shop as I am not mechanically inclined. Will I need anything else besides just the 4G93 manifold? New gaskets? Different vacuum lines or hoses?
