it not worth it. if you did you would only have front wheel drive. save your money and buy a used evo.

See the option 6 in from the left on the option bar? It is a helpful tool......

This topic has been covered time and time again..... It will probably be cheaper, and less of a hassle to just sell off the lancer, and put all that you get for it into buying an EVO. I can't ***** too much, just becaue you have a good taste in cars tho....

Seriously, unless you can fabricate the motor mounts, get the engine, ECU drivetrain, transmission, differentials, aww hell... all the guts of the car, it wouldn't be worth it. Much better going off and getting an EVO. If all that was needed was to take out the 4g94 and drop in a 4g63, then almost every member (ESPECIALLY the Canadian guys) would have done it as a first mod Crappy Canadian laws don't allow EVO's here yet

If money is no issue to you, then by all means, take my words as shyte and do it up. I'd give you marks for having the bank to do it, but as most people here would say, you want an EVO, get an EVO. Cheaper, and less hassle in the long run. Just my 0.02 (well, maybe 0.018.... damned exchange rates)

oh boy....

$ 10,000 was what it cost a guy from canada to drop an evo engine in his 04 lancer, do a search there have been many topics covering this, it is just not worth it as sayd by Toddevo.

With that amount of money you could build your lancer to have more power than the evo engine your droping in, unless you plan on spending another 10 grand on upgrading the evo engine and by that time you could have bought a used 03 evo with awd and all the bells and wistles for 21 grand or so.
