I wouldn't wash the windows first, if you're going to a decent place, they will do that for you. The only reason I say that is because sometimes you can't use certain cleaners. My old car had tint and you couldn't have ammonia based cleaners near it, so just to be safe...

dont clean them b4 hand, they will prep it for you, to do my whole car it costed me$210 , i waited like 2 day b4 rolling them down. I have heard all sorts of different stories on how long not to roll them up, i thought 2 days was enough and i havent had any problems!

Just to be safe, wait a week before rolling them down. It cost me 200 CDN to get it done, and I have to admit, it is by far the best addition to my car so far. There is a spray cleaner out there that does an incredible job cleaning the windows, maybe look into that. And 03 ES has it right. NEVER use an ammonia based cleaner on them, it will cause discoloration of the tint. (Unless you like the idea of blueish/purple tint that is) The shop I got mine done at, isn't a tint shop, but do offer that, and they cleaned the windows for me, so as long as the tinter is good, he should know which cleaners to use, and use them. Congrats on the decision for tint man, best investment you could make. Just make sure that you stay within your towns guidelines, or else a cop could razor your window, and give you a fine.

it costs me $150 only because its the rear passenger windows and the back. took him 2-3hrs. a week should be fine before rolling the windows down and put it under the sun to remove the bubbles. but i did not rolled it down for at least three weeks.

Mine was all limo. It cost me about $200 with lifetime warranty against..... anaything lol.

The wait for me was about 30 mins. There was nobody in front of me. He did everything. Don't wash them, they will do that.

After your done, they SHOULD give you instructions on how to take care of the film. Some say don't roll the windows for a day, and some say 2 weeks. Mine was for 7 days, but they just be careful.

DO NOT USE WINDEX

Some will sell you a small bottle of cleaner for about $12.99. Don't buy it. It's pretty much water. Thats all I used, but it was a pain in the *** sometimes. SO just ask around whats best to clean them. And 03_Lancer_ES is right. Don't use ammonia based cleaners.

Well, thats my opinion. Good luck man, make sure to post some pics once done

Make sure they offer a quality tint, like llumar and 3M. Both "can" have lifetime warranties...

I hope your shopping around different tint places because most of them charge you up the a** and end up with sh*tty quality. Mine took about 1 1/2 hours and cost $140 to get my wagon done.

I got mines done at "the tint man". It's where me and my family take all our cars too...they do a great job. I got medium tint in the back, and light tint on the front windows.....140 with a lifetime guarantee. I love those guys, good pricing and the tint looks just as good as the day i got my car back

In case any of you are wondering why i went light in the fronts.....ummmmmmm simple " i dont wanna get ****d with by the po po for having too dark windows"

just another reason to avoid getting pulled over for some bull ish reason

shouldn't take more than 1.5 hours.
don't clean the windows, they will do it for you.
4dr car could be anywhere from $150-$250.
my galant was $225 including the top part of the front windshield.
make sure they give you lifetime warranty.

Or you can just not use cleaners on the tint after you get it, like was mentioned, water (some say little soap and water) but I just use a microfibre cloth alone, works about 1000x better, no liquids to deal with...
