something im considering...

Well, heres the story behind my car...

My dad got it he payed 2 months...handed it to me...i took over payments.

he got a OZ fully loaded all that good stuff...but the downside is its AUTO.

Now, I'm thinking of going to the dealer and asking for a new one. 1 ...i think i got a bad seed. My CD player broke in 3 months, the engine is making all sorts of wierd *** noises..and the auto really changes gears harsh sometimes, like so harsh my head jerks...i think the tranny is bad...i hear this ripping sound comin from under the hood when changing gears at high rpms...

well anyway...my plan is to take it back and trade it in for a new one.....

What do you guys think ill get for it?

Its 4 months old with 4000 Miles on it.

I think I'll get atleast 13-15,000 for it. I bought it for 17.

The so lets say they give me 15,000, that leaves a 2k difference...but the good thing is manual is like 1 grand less...so that leaves only 1 g im paying extra...what do you guys think?

I'd say you'd get around 10, maybe 11k for it on a trade in.

I think 11k is closer to what you'll actually get. Cuz they'll probably try to resell it for just 1 or 2k under new, which would leave them with a nice profit. I think you're more likely to end up with a rent a car and a new transmission. I guess it really depends upon your dealership and your salesperson though.

Check out the Kelly Blue Book site and enter your options, and checkout the wholesale price. I have received close to that value almost every time I did a trade-in. It probably helps to go to the same dealer you purchased the car from.

Never mind- they don't have pricing available yet for the Lancer.

Get the dealership to fix the problems, since the car is under warranty.

If after a few tries and they still cant fix it, it might be a lemon. Check the lemon laws in your state. If it is a lemon, you can get a full refund, i think or a new Lancer.

Well, I called my dealer...the guy on the phone gave me a ruff estimate of depreciation of 2 grand.

17,000 - 2000 = 15,000

I already payed over 1,000 cuz im doin a 3 year 0% Intrest Finance.
stick is 1000 cheaper...

So doesnt think almost even out to be the same thing?? or am I thinking of it in a wrong way...

Depreciation of 2 grand really isn't that bad...if you can get it squared away and only pay 1 grand more...I'd say go for it. But then again...that's just me.

Most dealers will not tell you over the phone (what they will give for your trade in). Just take it in to the dealer and tell them what you want to do, and find out what they will do for you, that way they will know your serious. Get the manual, its fun

From what I know the Lemon law is liek 6 times in 1 month of constant part exchange.

From my calculation the difference only might be like 400-600 bux, which ill pay right then and there!
