Heres a thought. Theres a guy on the boards that installed his own fog lights on the 08's using the Mitsu factory fog lights kit. Somehow, even after the install, he had to go to the dealer and turn on the fog light in the ECU, it had to be initiated or something. before they went into the ECU, the fogs wouldnt turn on. Maybe the DRL's are the same way? It could be turned off via ECU?

Rob,

The fusebox thing seems to be a bust, but as per your request, here's a pic of the "no #13" fuse panel.

IF it happens, it is not the product, it is because of characteristics of the car.... The jury is still out. If that is the only way to go, and you find it to be lazy, maybe we just won't release it.... It is possible. Still working on it though.

When the car's ECU is fighting you tooth and nail, sometimes you have to come up with a "workaround" solution...

I dont think that story is true, because if he installed it using the factory kit, then he would have had to install a new signal lever with the fog lights spindle on it for the on/off.

If he just did it to a switch from the side he could have just gone to the internal fuse box and run it that way and the ECU would not have anything to do with it.

I dont really know though because I haven't tried it yet. I am waiting for a good place to mount the lights that I like.

^ Cosworth- yes, when you buy the OEM fog light kit it comes with a new stalk switch . It also shows the fog light indicator on the gauge cluster when turned on.
The guy didnt Mickey mouse it. It was done the right way.

Heres the thread.

Yeah I can see doing it that way if there is no other possible option. Even then I have my personal opinion about it, but Im sure most everyone would be willing to do it

ETACS-ECU re-coding will fix this. You'll need a MUT-III and you can disable the factory daytime running lights.
