90% would probably say no. But if you happen to go to a dealership with a cool service manager, they might give it a shot. This type of thing just comes down to chance and luck. You'd be asking them to tamper with parts of your car that are normally considered "safety items."

I know the GM at my dealer so maybe I will see if he can do this for me.

It would be worth a shot if the DRL's could be rerouted to the fogs. I think the 2007 Outlander has its DRL's through the fogs, and thus making it a lot easier to install HID's on lows. Its a shame all Lancer models dont come with fogs as standard

I can't believe people are still talking about this, when there has been a sufficient solution found, and it is very minimal in cost. Do the relay setup, and maintain your stock controls.....

I'm just wondering if its a reasonable idea to reroute the DRL's to the sidemarker lights, you know the little orange ones. And then just run your HID's normally on the lowbeams?

instead of rerouting the DRL's...just unplug the whole oem headlight harness and buy a relay and splice the plug that usually plugs back into the oem harness to the parking lights.....baddabing....no DRL's...very cheap to do and easy.

Sorry, can you explain this part a little bit more? I'm a complete newbie when it comes to these electrical issues unfortunately.

Thanks man, that definitely helps a bit. Although i'm a little unsure of what this achieves. How exactly do the HID's, DRL's and parking lights work after this setup?

Ok yeah that makes sense. What about in the middle position between off and full headlights? The position which brings on your dash lights and taillights. Would the HID's come on then too or only come on at the headlight on position?

Yeah I only use the middle position in evenings when you dont need any headlights, but still want the dashboard lights. Although I imagine the HID's wouldnt come on in that position. Since the full voltage doesnt get sent to the headlights in the middle position anyway.

Well in theory this seems like a pretty good solution so far. chetman7 is this how you have yours running? And are there any issues with this you've come across?
