That doesn't really help us, now does it? I certainly don't have a MUT-III at home...

No, apparently none of us do. Jake admitted in another thread that the #13 was an error. He has PMed the man he originally got the info from but has received no response as of yet.

As for Rob, I guess I'm not sure what you're saying. My reading of your posts makes it sound like Rob will make little RRM MUT-III units for each of us to use. I don't see this happening unless they become as common as OBD-II...

SCAN TOOL (MUT-III)
Multi-Use Tester III is Mitsubishi’s newest generation diagnostic tool (scan tool). You can learn more about price and availability of the tool on our Special Tools Page.
Basically it's a tool that dealerships have to scan your car. This is why I said that knowing it doesn't help because none of us regular folks have one.

Okay, Names Josh. Kinda new to the whole forum thing. But I have the 08 lancer GTS with HID Kit. I have went to numerous shops around my way. And my buddies shop looked at it for about 3 days. And unless someone knows something I dont, the only thing to do is to switch the fogs with the driving lights.

And Although all of you think this is half ***, and is a lazy way too do it. Its not. Ill tell you how it works.

The only, and I mean only difference in the switch is its backwards. To turn on your HID's you just switch up the lights, like you do now. Which will turn on the fogs from driving lights to full power lights. And then switch up the fogs, which will turn on your HIDS. This is the most simplist thing to do, it takes no extra time. Your lights will still go off after like 10 seconds of your car being off. And there is no problems. Ive been driving with them for 1 1/2 months now, and since then putting about 2,000 miles on my car. I now have 5,400 miles on it.

Theres your answer

I'm trying to follow your explanation but I'm having trouble since I don't have a clue with the light stalk looks like on a GTS. That and I don't want to have to go and buy a fog light kit for my ES so I can have working HID's..

Im not saying its lazy as in the work you have to do, Im saying its lazy because you are giving up regular features of your car to do it. I like my fog lights as fog lights, and I shouldnt have to convert them into my DRLs to have an HID kit

hmm. since the drl's are on the low-beam bulbs, cant you hook up the HID's to the high-beam bulbs and just turn on the high-beams? from this picture, it looks RRM did the same.. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/at...6&d=1186844780

Actually that pic has the low-beams on. You could use the high beams, but your alignment is gonna be crap, and you could only use them outta town bc they would, in fact, be high beams. You would then have yourself a set of high-beam HIDs
