Fuse problems!
So i was taking out my CD player to put a different one in and some how I managed to blow a fuse, maybe two..... Well I can see that the fuse under the hood for the stereo is blown but cant seem to get it out. Its in a yellow square plastic device that is holding another fuse, manual says that fuse controls the dome light (which also doesnt work).
How do I get these fuses out to replace them, they seem to be held in with little plastic teeth or spacers. ?????
I checked the fuses under the dash as well, but seems that there is no fuse under the dash for the stereo its blocked off so a fuse doesnt fit.
my door locks dont work either unless the car is on
Are all these problems associated to the single 10amp blown fuse that controls the stereo?
Anyways, if someone could give me an idea on how to get the fuses replaced that would be great, I have tried several things to put in there to space them out but they dont seem to budge.
Thanks,
Jared

Use a fuse puller? Why can't you get it out? Just not pulling hard enough or what?
I don't have your year car, so I can't look to compare, but generally fuse removal is easy. Just pull...

Take needle-nose pliers and pry apart the small yellow part of the casing held on top of the fuse. Basically spread it apart from the fuse and pull it out.
BTW, I'm out sure you had to take out the entire yellow assembly there.

Is that red 8ga hanging out of your fusebox for your amplifier?
If so, get it the hell out of there. It's very unsafe. The wire that leads to whatever that's connected to in the fusebox can't handle the amount of juice it takes to run whatever you're using that 8awg for.
Run a 4awg direct from the battery instead.
And you probably blew a fuse because you have exposed 12v+ touching your chassis -- which is a ground. Which is a short circuit.

Fixed fuse problem
I got the fuse replaced and everything works again.
Power to amp:
It does go straight to the battery. Its just not hooked up. I have been working on my system for the past few days. I know it needs to run to the battery. The other end is not hooked up to the amp either.

^Assuming the Evo has the same fuse box in the same area with the same fuses...just open it up, there's a bright yellow area that incases two fuses in it. Pull up on the yellow casing. Then pryout the fuse (I forget the amperage) with neddle-nose pliers.
