hell yah i dont mean it...i think its seriously pathetic how some evo owners honestly think their car is the best performing car in the world...its ridiculous. its a 24k mitsubishi car for christs sake...oh man. evo owners brains especially michaels are so clouded with evo thoughts that they can not even think right when it comes to other cars. oh but maybe im just wrong...that 24k mitsubishi car, from a company known for its unreliableness, must obvoiusly be able to outperform any car in the world...ITS AN EVOLUTION!!! HOW CAN IT NOT OUTPERFORM ANYTHING!?! ohh man i think i have seen the light and have corrected my herectic ways. EVO FOREVER.

 

I don't think everybody on this board thinks that the Evo will beat anything and everything....I'll be the first one to tell you that a Z06 will take an Evo down on the strip like it's it's job, but I'm also realistic. An M3 is not gonna take down an Evo on either track.

I hate BMW's and I hate the majority of BMW drivers....every person that I've ever met that drives a BMW has been a massive ***** to me and everyone around them. I don't like BMW's 'cause I don't feel like paying $50-60k just to buy a car that's going to get taken down by a car that costs half as much.....ride comfort....I don't give a rats *** about. When I'm on a track, or street racing....comfort is LAST on my mind. My SATURN out handles a 330i on a skidpad fer christ sakes.

If I pull up to a Supra in my Evo at a stoplight do I expect to win? No....I expect to race. Everybody on this board thinks the Evo is a great car and it is, but I think we all know it's limits. BTW, yer talking down to guys (Claudius and Michael) that actually OWN an Evo....which you don't. You have no frame of reference.

I also have the option to get a '97 limited gold edition supra twin turbo, with like 50,000 miles. any downs to that deal? should i get that over an evo? i think an evo could beat a supra, i have seen that video. with mods of course.(oh ya, the guy w/ the supra sais the 0-60 is in the low 3's. its got exhaust, intake, i really dont know what else. i know they are fast but is that even realistic???????? i think im gonna go with the evo.(and are the evo's interiors really that bad?)

 

The Supra's an awesome ride.....definately hard to pass up. What are you going to be using the car more for....1/4's or twisties?

1/4's = I say go with the Supra
twisties = don't even hesitate to go for the Evo

EDIT: As far as the Evo's interior goes....I've seen pictures of it, and I actually like it A LOT more than the interior of the WRX. Looks more sleek to me than the Rex's....the Rex's looks cluttered to me....

 

uhm thats exatly my point that evo OWNERS are unrealistic about the performance of their car compared to others. every single car ever mentioned seems to not be able to beat an evo on a track. everyone seems to think that nothing can beat an evo cuz of its all inspiring active yaw control and awd that somehow makes it the best handlign car in the world. oh well soem people are just way too biased and refuse to listen to anything that implies the evo7 isnt the best car in the world...

 

pretty much both. my friend has a wrx and i like it, so im puched towards an evo, is te supra much worse at corners than the evo? and is it REALLY much fast ther than the evo? which is more in the middle?

 

Alls I'm saying is that they've actually driven all of these cars we talk of. They actually know the cars limits, strenghts, weaknesses.

If you want to see some proof of the Evo's power and handling ability....find some Best Motoring videos w/ the Evo in 'em....The Evo's almost always out in front.

I haven't really seen many Supra's at auto x's er any such events, so if that's any indicator of the cars handling abilities I'd day go with the Evo.

From what I've seen the Evo will perform more in the middle as you were saying than the Supra would...

No kidding! Penguin, back up arguments with reason and proof done by either research or experience. Not with the "My daddy can beat your daddy" mentality. Both Claudius and Michaelk have experience on the track, have owned some of the afore mentioned cars and have driven against some of these cars. They are not bias because they own an Evo. They bought the Evo because of informed knowledge and experience. You have done neither.

you dont have to get all offended cuz i attack the car you own. its not the best car in the world, deal with it. i really hate it how everyone here judges how good a car is by the way it handles...sorry but if a car looks better, is faster, and is built better IE bmw m5...but it doesnt handle as well...overall its still better...just lacks in one aspect. it doesnt suck. so.....maybe you should quit talkin like a teenager and saying everything sucks compared to the evo jus cuz it cant handle as well.

 

A lot of the people in this board actually plan to race their cars, so that's probably why handling is important to them.

Looking better = matter of opinion....I think the M5 looks like crap, and it barely looks different from any other bimmer on the road.

Fast....there's a lot of things that go into being fast....if yer talking fast on a track then handling has PLENTY to do with how fast the car is.

The evo is a better car than the M5....FOR ME. I don't plan on trying to look cool in my next car....I plan on being able to kick some ***.

You keep talking that Mitsu. has crappy build quality and that they're crappy cars....Why? Have you had one before? I know they had a bad rep. from the problems with the VR-4 and the Eclispe, but seriously....everyone I've known with a Mitsu. has loved it.

And seriously.....if you want an M5...and think the M5 is king ****....and think Mitsu. is horrible....then take it to another friggin forum....this is getting ridiculous. If I wanted to hear someone bash Mitsubishis I'd go over to I-Club.

You just have to realize this is an EVO enthusiast site. Don't expect objectivity - there are some people here that take a lack of objectivity to an extreme - ones that should know better. I wouldn't let it get to you. Hell, they've been trashing the STi like it's a granny's car. I know they're full of $%^&, but I come here to read about the EVO (which is a hot f'in car. ) so I really don't give a rat's *** about their BiaSed opinion on other cars.
