Thinking about selling my car

So I am thinking about selling my car because I have a chance to get an AMAZING car for a reasonable price. I was just wondering what you all thought I could get out of my car. I know I won't get all of the money back I put into it but it should be worth at least a little more than normal. Here is the rundown:

2002 Lancer ES Automatic
103k miles
Most mods in my sig done at 100k miles, this means the top end of the motor has 3k miles on it.

New Spark Plugs
New Spark Plug Wires
New PCV Valve
Transmission Flush
New O2 sensor
New front brakes
Pioneer 4700MP CD player w/Ipod hookup
Infinity Kappa 6.5" component speakers
Kicker 250.2 amp for speakers
Wired for subs

The bad:
The front bumper has normal wear and tear
CEL is on due to blocked off EGR (so technically there is nothing wrong)

Interior- 9/10
Exterior- 9/10
Suspension- 8/10 (rear struts are going bad but have been doing that for supposedly 2 years and the car still rides great)
Engine- 9.5/10

I am looking at getting this car:
97 ek hatch
D16Y8 swap with Y8 transmission (40k miles on it all)
T3 Super 60 on 10lbs
Full coilovers
Built and Tuned by people that know their stuff

He is asking $6500

1 thing is its SO slammed I couldn't get it into my driveway now so I would have to raise it for a while

Also, it has a 6 puck clutch so DD'ing in traffic will be much harder now lol. How well do those motors handle boost? I am thinking that even if it starts to give out in a year a two fully built internals are fairly cheap on a honda like that.

You wont get much. I'd say around 6.5-7K. I'd say, part it out and sell away!

6.5-7k is what I was wanting to get so thats good. And it would be hard to partout unless a car near me just wants to do a complete swap of my parts for stock parts at discounted prices

Private sale, maybe $6k...but I'd assume less.

But onto that beautiful example of D-series Sohc goodness! Very nice! I probably know the owner through either D-series.org or TurboD16.com... So I assume stock block/internals/ head? Yeah, for "insurance" you can throw in Eagle rods ($300) and pistons ($120-$400); then you can boost up to where ever you want. Any additional questions you might have about the car, it's setup, or possible background on the car...let know via PM. If you have the guy's name or username I can see what the car has been through via the other forums.

D-series FTW.

I have a '97 Del Sol with a D16Y8 as well. One note of concern is that the oil pump on the Y8's do not flow well. Either port the pump or shim it. Either way the only problem i see you having with that set up is spun bearings because of the oiling problems.

Yeah, for "insurance" you can throw in Eagle rods ($300) and pistons ($120-$400); +1 Look into this.

One question: What is the Civic running for fuel control? Is it a OBD1 convert?

nice, just raise it up a little and you should be good. That thing will be a rocket compared to the lancer...my last car was a 95 civic coupe, d16y8 swap, intake, header, exhaust, crower stg2, cam gear, 132whp

Yeah, the oil pump is a concern...but keep the stock limiter and you should be fine. I did PM you with details, but with any "new" car purchase do a compression check. 5 minutes really...pull the plugs, plug the dizzy connections, pull the 7.5A ecu fuse, then install the tester. Make sure the car is at operating temp before this and keep the throttle @ WOT while starting the car.

I would go through with that deal to. Its a shame you have to turbo the lancer to ge t some decent power output but It gets the job done if you don't care about hp.
