Buy a DSM like a awd eclipse or something its basically an evo without brembos or race seats, I would know, I have had both. (99 eclipse GSX) you can get one that is already modded for under 8 grand.

 

If your getting a 4 cyl n/a then get the SI.

 

The Ralliart responds much better to mods. Adding all the bolts on's, plus a tune, is good for quite a bit of horsepower. There are Ralliarts that have dyno'd over 200 hp without a turbo or nitrous with only bolts on's and headwork. As for parts availabiltiy, Ralliarts really have about the same availability as the base Lancers, since it's the same companies making parts for both cars. But as mentioned, the Ralliarts come with better engines, faster gearing, better brakes, and better seats. Everything else is pretty much the same as the other Lancers.
