Chrome handles

I would love to put some chrome door handles on my 09 GTS, but I'm not sure where I can get them - especially since the handles have that small, rubber button which locks all the doors. Does Mitsu make them? Has anyone changed the handles on their car?

I searched the forum but didn't really find much. Any help appreciated!

The car is still brand new and not many cosmetic aftermarket parts exist. Chrome door handles are one of those that do not.

There are a few companies that make chrome finish paints... you may be able to get a shop to take them apart and paint them with some. Might cost a bit, but if done properly it will look a lot better and last longer with less care.

Check to see if the Outlander SE handles will work on your car. The Outlander SE is the only vehicle that I know of in the current line up that has chrome handles and has FAST key enabled.

^Thanks!

I found this though:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mitsu...1890QQtcZphoto

but it's only for 2000-2006 Lancers. Has the handle changed at all since then?

They look close. Not sure if they're the same or not. Maybe ask your dealership?

Yes, they have. The ebay link you are looking at was good on the older generation style body. The chrome handles that will work for your car are on the 2008 Outlander SE, because they have the FAST key button on them. The set you are looking at on ebay does not have the fast key button.

I am a sales manager at a Mitsubishi dealership and I've checked them side by side.

South African Sports Package and the North American Sports Package are different.

true, but you can have your Mistubishi dealer order the parts and get them shipped into their vacinity. I order Aussie badging all the time through my nearest Mitsubishi dealer.

Call, get the part number and ask for a price on the handles.
