Dealing with your Dealer- Advice from a dealership tech.
For all new lancer owners 2011 have your dealership check the brake boosters , I recently purchased my car and in less then a month my 11 lancer is in then shop. There is a recall on the brake boosters get it checked just to be safe
If the dealer put regular oil as listed on the ro?
I got 4500 miles with 2 reg oil changes, do I have yo worry damage was done to turbo?
I'm changing to synthetic this weekend.
The both dealerships excuses, it comes from the factory with regular oil, are they serious?
I can't believe they put regular & I didn't notice the ro

Lots of good stuff. Highly appreciated. What are your thoughts on taking it in to the dealership tech for aftermarket installations? I know they are easy and i can do them myseld this is just my first new car and i just want someone who knows the ins and outs of a mitsubishi to do it.

Can anyone give any insight on the timing belt?
The dealer is recommending that I change the timing belt on my 2010 lancer. It is now 7 years old with 64K miles on it. The car is in perfect condition but they recommend the timing belt being changed as it can go at any moment. What do you guys think about this? I know it is a costly thing to replace. Also, if I do have it replaced would you recommend going to a mechanic rather than the dealer or would the job be better off being done at the dealership? THANK YOU GUYS!!!!

If you want to double check, you can get an estimate at another garage to see if they find the same issue, but I wouldn't see a reason not to go to mitsubishi unless you have a regular trusted garage you go to.
