The lancer is in the apples box and the GTI is in the oranges box. The lancer excells in some areas like price but the overall product that you get with the GTI makes it a winner. A GTI does well in just about every aspect in which is beein tested against, yeah, a Coball SS or a Mazda Speed 3 are quicker but the GTI wins in quality, inetiro, value, gas mielage, etc.

If you are tite on the budget then the Lancer, if you can afford the GTI then absolutely get the GTI, preferribaly the DSG version.

GTI, it's in a completely different league.

 

Ah well i actually bought a Lancer GTS last year(Desert Sand Metallic) and i got in an accident in march and totaled it

I ended up with a Volkswagen GTI



I love this car, GTS has a better sound system though but that's about it other than Warranty.

 

Turbo FTW.

The GTI will be more comftarble and more enjoyable to drive imo. They are really nice car but like any other car Maintnace first!
