A chip by a stone on windshield window

Yesterday I’ve a flying stone hit on the windshield window. There is a little chip on it.

I would like to know what I should do. Just leave it like that? Is it dangerous to ignore it? I think replacing the whole windshield would be costly.

Please help me with some suggestions.

Cheers
Raylund

I had my insurance fix it from "autolite". They did a helluv and my chip was worse. Check them out or "glassdoctors"...

get it fixed fast....It'll spread if you don't. Put masking tape on it so that water can't get in and see if a windshield company will be able to seal it.

Yeah. I had a similar chip filled with that stuff. If it's not larger than a quarter, they should be able to fill it.

I still have the same star mark, it's been 4? years since. I still get people asking me about the spot.

Forget to say I'm in Toronto.

I just drove to my dealer and the body shop said better to replace and the seal is not guarantee good. The quoted price for oem parts and labors is CND$894.36

What is the better option? My Lancer is just 4 months old

I was given a guarantee by my insurance. If they sealer didn't work and it started spreading, they'd replace the glass for free.

Does your insurance not cover this stuff?
