Why can't people understand what I want to do? I'm going to start adding parts such as exhaust, intake and headers an modding it as well.
But the people I work with are just so against it and keep saying not to do it and don't wate your time its a automatic lancer es and laugh at me.
I just want something more fun to drive with a little more horse power. Do any of yall get the same reaction?

 

i've never been in your situation but i know ppl that have been.

i say its your car and you do what you want. it doesnt matter what ppl tell you. if you wan do it then do it... dont let ppl stop you.
i have ppl tell me all the time that i shouldnt have this car n i just laugh in their faces.

I get those reactions all the time. I have a modded IX, and 06 ES 5sp. They all laugh until they see whats under the hood or I take them for a ride. You'll always get that type of reaction from muscle car people. But it's your car, do what you want.

 

ya know that is the reason me and my brother built my car bc of people given me hell about it. o its slow it is a oz but know when that 22 psi blow off and that 100 shoot of nos purge off they are like wtf. i like looking at the mustang gt guys face when i blow by just do what u like f ever 1 who dont like it

 

I get the auto thing....people are like oh its auto?....gay. But i get asked if its an evo alot....and alot of people think my car is really fast because it looks and sounds good....but its slow....very very slow.

 

lol see ya it doesnt matter to me if its slow or not real fast just something that sounds good and fund to drive lol thats all that matters to me

i use 2 get that reaction when i had an modded auto integra and ppl said that it looked like i was driving an manual, or when they saw they would b like ...... nice car.... to bad its an auto

now with the lancer no1 has yet 2 say anything

 

Honestly what your co-workers said is very true. I've spent ton of money on the cars, lot of people around me told me that if i didn't spent money on cars, i probably bought a couple of house already haha

but do i regret? no. Mod car is one of fav hobbie and pride. Yes ive lost lot of money on cars, but it left me a good memory.

 

yeah who cares what people think. it does suck that its a auto because of an auto limits in regards to hp, but hey build it up till the auto goes and swap in a 5 speed!!!

But once you go Turbo then they're not slow.

But if the OP wants a fun car to drive I suggest getting headers, make a custom CAI then convert to SRI in bad rain or snow, and get 2 1/4" exhaust. Other than that just save up your money and go Turbo.

Yeah honestly theres nothing wrong with automatic cars and modifying them. Driving a manual would probably make your experience even more funner. I on the other hand would pick a manual to make fast and a automatic to just cruise and make look nice (i.e. bmw 330i to cruise and a M3 for manual.)
