I'm pretty sure my lancer came/ was suppose to come with a leather wrapped shift knob (CVT). However, it looks/ feels like plastic, and looks nothing like my leather wrapped steering wheel.... Wondered if anyone else has this shift knob or and a picture of what the OEM leather wrapped shift knob is suppose to look like.....

I don't like the leather wrapped shift knob for my GTS (CVT) either. It's definitely feel a lot cheaper than my Mazda 3 leather wrapped shift knob.

 

This is the leather shift knob that came with mine. I know my car is dirty.

Yeah, your shift knob looks WAY different then mine.....Ill post a pic.... Urs is smooth correct? At least from the pictures, it looks smooth (like the steering wheel). Mine looks like plastic junk, nothing like my wheel. Arn't the GTS's suppose to come with a leather wrapped steering wheel AND shift knob? At least i thought i heard that some where....


Ill get a pic up here soon, but i'm 99% sure, that i got the ol' "switch-a-roo" played on me.... I'm pretty sure that the shift knob i have, is from the lower-end models, such as the ES and DE......

HAHA anyone happen to have a picture of thier shift knob on a ES or DE??

I also took a picture of my steering wheel, so that you can compare the leather wrapped wheel, to the "leather" PLASTIC shift knob.

Yup, that's the one we all have. Our leather wrapped shift knob is just crappy.

 

So thats the same one Brad has on his 09?? cause his looks alot "smoother"... but could just be the way the picture was taken

Yea, that's what i thought originally.... so your knob is different than mine (looking at the pictures) but our steering wheels are wrapped in the same material right?

 

mine are both smooth. Might be because mine is an 09
