Lancer GTS 2010
youtube no one has the new model or ever turn on the car. I only wanted Gts because of the engine 2.4. If I get an aftermarket exhaust, i dont like it too loud so the 2.4 engine would make it softer and deeper? im guessing.
The 2.4L engine is the quieter engine for sure, but as for the aftermarket exhausts it depends on the kind you get... The Greddy Spectrum Elite and Magnaflow exhaust are known to be the quieter ones.
yeah tats why i want a gts instead of the de or se. There arent many types of "regular-looking" cars left anymore. I havent test drove it yet but lancer gts is going to be one of the cars i might buy.
I've had a 2010 lancer gts for about 2 months now. Not sure what all this talk about road noise. It's quiet as can be, I didn't starting hear the motor till i installed the Injen air intake. The inside cabin is quiet. Doors don't feel flimsy to me i think the door handles are a little on the cheap side though. My only beef is it feels like it has a lot of body roll. I'm gonna fix that with evo sized swaybars though. Overall I'm very satisfied with the car. I'm planning on getting the magnaflow catback exhaust put on it next weekend. Should make a lot of difference. I hate that "ricey" sound as well. The stock exhaust has 3 mufflers from what i heard.

Let us know how the cat-back Magnaflow install goes... I thought it was only for the 2.0L...
"Quiet" is subjective anyway and really depends on the car you are coming from. I only really noticed when I had to leave my Lancer in the body shop (that annoying white Ford pick up truck!) and my rental company gave me a 2010 Malibu... That car's pretty quiet on the highway (but obviously, its a family sedan).
I do think the Lancer is fine - on par with its competition like the Civic, Sentra and Mazda 3. I did notice the 2010 did have some enhancements though. For example, your car has a hood sound insulator - previous year models actually had no insulation under the hood, just bare metal. A thicker windshield was also used - but I'm not sure if that was the case for the GTS or only for the EVO MR...
Enjoy the Lancer!
