03 Sadness..

I got side swept by a recycling truck.. Car was unoccupied & parked..

I'm getting ~2k from insurance.. I'm wondering, should I get OEM parts or should I go aftermarket? Opinions?

^My guess is they owned up to it if he's sure it was a recycling truck, unless he was lucky enough to be looking outside the second it happened

Those nice headlights get damaged?

I live in Methuen, but the accident took place in Everett in front of my girlfriend's house. But yeah, they owned up to it (sorta). This happened on the 1st of this month. I made all the claims and ****, but I'm dealing with their insurance company trying to get a rental while I find a place to go, and while my car is in the shop. The guy who was driving the truck said he avoided a head on collision, and while he was avoiding it he hit my car. So they're trying to say it was someone else's fault (lol), but no one witnessed it, and no one got this 'phantom' car's license plate number. They're just wasting my time.

looks like my car. Glad your getting a decent amount back from insurance. I would stick OEM for sure, however you could buy The RMR lip with some of that money. Hell you could get carbon fiber fenders with that amount..just sayen.

Ouch. Just glad no one was in there when it happened. I'd say go OEM. Any extra money, go with aftermarket goodies

Oh my, this is a sad story. Good thing that it is unoccupied. It will be a bigger problem if someone was inside. The bumper can be easily fixed. However, not so sure with your left door. Oh my, were you able to talk to the driver of the truck? well, glad you will get money from the insurance. I would suggest that you go aftermarket.. good luck to you.
