I got a 2012 lancer es, I got an HID kit with No DRL bypass, just ballasts and bulbs and a few wires. They work fine, but sometimes the bulb on passenger side doesn't turn on, most of the times if I then on,off,on,off,off my headlights then both turn on.

Ive been told this js because my DRL are trying to turn on, but the HIDs just hog all the power. Im thinking aboit buying a DRL bypass kit from ebay for $39.99+5.99 shipping since that is supposed to ensure all my lights turn on all the time, but I am wondering, is there other type of relay/harness that Let's you have both HIDs and DRLs?

So when you turn the lights on, only one side lights up? Where did you get the HID's?

 

Most of time both sides turn on, but from time to time only ome turns on, usually driver side, and I got them on eBay Lol

 

i think there is relay problem, check it.

 

Well i finally got a DRL bypass (by jrox) and the HIDs worked fine for a bit, but now its back to square 1. The passenger side fails to turn on... a LOT. I have to turn my headlights on-off-on-off over 30 times before both lights turn on...

So what do you guys think, take off these cheap eBay HIDs and sell the HIDs and the DRL bypass and buy a NOT eBay HID kit?

 

can't you just disable the DRL feature...?

 

Mine did the same thing get plug in capaciters for them problem solved, got them on Ebay.
