Shoot I usually don't get more than 270 miles to the tank and I've never filled it up more than 11.8 gallons, so I don't see how the tanks could be 13 gallons. Anyway that averages out to about 25 MPG. Not bad, but not great.

Lightbulb

to do the math realy
yes we have 13.2 gallon tank
but you alway use about 10 or 11 galolon of it
so here the math
10x30=300
11x30=330
so if you get more than that you must drive slow
so if you want to replace you fuel pump use more gas

well, my auto gets quite a bit less than that, I'd say maybe closer to 200... I'm auto, and I do drive my brand new lancer like it was a POS ford, maybe that has something to do with it. My understanding is, until I get a piggy back (or turbo, higher compression, etc) running lower octane is the same as running higher. Although, I have already proven ignorance here and elsewhere, so who knows?

I drive mostly city with some highway. I drive my car hard, but not overly retarded. I usually average 280 miles to the tank (roughly 25MPG) in the summer, but since the winter is here and that means winter blend (more additives to burn cleaner but faster, etc) I am lucky to get 240, with roughly 21MPG. The worst I have seen is 19 and the best in the summer was 27, but I don't have cruise control and that was to visit my sister driving all highway.

i get 100+or-10 for every 5 gallons. and i dont fill full tank, i fill 5 gallons everytime so itd be easier for me to calculate, and the car carries less weigh.... shell is right next to my school anyways

btw, i dumped a bottle of octane booster into the 5gallons and well....what is it supposed to do? isnt it supposed to make my car run smoother or like FASTER!? haha

edit: i fill 89oct shell plus... only mod is injen sri...i think it lowered my mileage....

jeez, from all the numbers for miles per full tank i have seen in this thread, i must be doing something wrong (driving style) i have an auto and im lucky if i get 220. the needle is usually around e when i reach 200 give or take about ten miles. something strange though-one week i got 150 miles to the half tank so i figured i would try and drive the same way for the second half, which im pretty sure i did and i only got 50 miles! it was on e at about 200 miles! wtf?!

I'm getting like 150 now at half tank also. I used to go about 100 miles with the needle only dropping slightly below the 3/4 tank mark. Now i'm lucky to get 50. It's making me mad because gas prices are starting to go up again.
