My car is an 02 Lancer with stock exhaust and muffler and I bought a cherry bomb muffler just to try it out. My mechanic installed the cherry bomb in the middle where the resonator was not from the tailpipe. The sound is not as noticeable as i thought it would be but I heard you have to drive a couple miles for the muffler to get some use. sorry if this doesnt make much sense.
