This is rather unrelated, but I think I saw you, hobie, in leonia. I was in a white oz, and you let me go into CVS. Wanted to check out the car, but, I was in a hurry then, so... Maybe next time I run into you...

Holy ****. Yeah, that was me. Cool beans. I live like 6 blocks from there. Eh...just like I live about 6 blocks from just about anywhere in Leonia.

I was comin' home from work. If you're in the area and wanna chill lemme know. I'm free 90% of the time I'm awake.

And again on the heat shield...Considering the location of the filter I can't really see how it'd be beneficial in any way on a Lancer unless you remove the fake mesh in the grill and replace it with real mesh.

I did remove the fake mesh...its just that i wanted a little more protection from water spray and since the shield doesnt cover the whole opening, it will still allow air to be sucked in the filter since air can still enter around the filter unlike the fake mesh wich just completly covers the hole allowing nothing in.

On the fake mesh in the lower in the lower part of the bumber, I removed each of the little pieces sanded it smooth painted flat black and reinstalled. It took about a week, but it was worth it. They look way better now.

I removed the fake mesh and went down to pep boys and bought some chrome mesh it was $39 for a good size pice. it looks cool. the shild will only do you good if you removed all the under body plastic. if you only removed the fake mesh water can still splash over the shild and it would have to rain preaty hard to get the right angle to get a lot of water in that hole
