Hi guys, so i bought mitsubishi lancer 1.8 petrol eith cvt transmission, it has 103kw and it is front wheel drive with manual f1 transimition( +, - behind the wheel for shift down and shift up).
So my question is i want to add some HP and how can i do that, i read all about tuning cvt engine so i suppose it can be done, so what can i do and how much HP i can get in the end??
Thanks guys in advance ☺️☺️

Hi mate first of all.
You need to have a Straight X pipe ex system as if it's well designed it will give you around 20 hp avarage.. With a well designed and pro Cold Air Intake kit ( Only cold air not short ram) you can also have 5 avg hp.
But to make that kind of thinks work you need a new engine map and in order to do that you need to go a tunning shop who knows how to make a great ecu map for your car.
The point of the ecu map is that you should let your car know that it does have new parts and it needs to use them on the right way.
At the end you have a cvt transmission even tho you add some hp it won't worth the money you spend I suggest you to change your transsmision first.

Yes you can swap your transmission. Of course you can't just swap it with a random transmission because propably it won't even fit your car at all
. For example you can swap it with an EVO or RalliArt transsmission as in 'tc-sst' . You basically don't need to add any hp if you do this . But if you don't do this it doens't matter if you add 100 extra hp on your car because CVT can not even handle stock hp...
For example 1.6 lancer is waaaay faster then 1.8 because it's manual and doesn't lose any power on the way of transing
