I need some help with this one. I was waxing my car with a electric buffer and it applied too much wax to the car, which won't buff off. I can scrape it off using my fingernails, but there is way too much to try that. Does anyone know of a product that can remove wax without damaging the paint?? I have a black OZ which shows ALL the white specks of the wax and it looks terrible!!

What is a clay bar or clay baring? And where can I get it?

Go back with your buffer and use water to take the extra off. It wont hurt it. Be sure the pad(polishing) is perfeclty clean. Usually this is done at the time of wax build up but should be fine later.

I used "Nu Finish". My father-in-law swore by it but after using it, I threw it away. I want a mess free wax. Any suggestions?

Its not the wax, you probably used the buffer wrong, you can do a lot of damage with one of those buffers.
Go to http://store.yahoo.com/classic-motoring/index.html
they have a lot of good info and
http://www.autopia-carcare.com/freeguide.html
is another good site, I would suggest anybody look at those web sites. esp the second one.

you should take it off by hand. a good microfiber towell and some elbow grease. claybar is good, but shouldnt be used too often. you have to use some sort of lubricant too, a paint gloss of some sort works nice. you also have to make sure you dont use a too aggressive bar, as it will create more work than youll want.
