Ralliart Dudley, UK
Ralliart Dudley, UK
Had my 18k service on my Evo 6 GSR at Ralliart in Dudley, England this weekend, I also had the diff and gear box oil changed too, I must say that I was actually very impressed with the service I got, that car felt much tighter after I left and the gearbox was lots better.
I think my initial feelings about Ralliart were due to the service I got from a certain salesman, the usual promises were ignored once I signed on the dotted line, even so I'm still annoyed about them. Here is what was promised
1. RAC Trackstar tracker - I actually got a different tracker, not the one we agreed too and not an RAC one.
2. Ralliart Fleece and cap - Continually told that they are not in stock, was then told I could have them when I came in for my service, again told that they weren’t in stock
3. A letter for my insurance company stating that my car was an official UK car - This took about 3 months to turn up and took constant phone calls and emails to get the 2 lines in a letter that I needed.
All the above were verbal agreements but I did make a note of the tracker details at the time I signed, I was only aware of the discrepancy some months later when the registration information arrived at my house, I also have had regular contact about the fleece and cap since I received the car.
They all may sound like minor things but they all point to very bad sales service which really annoys me, I also suspect that there is a significant price difference between the 2 trackers, I also feel that the cap and fleece have been used as an incentive to get me back for a service at a cost of £365 (this was the 18k service with additional diff and gearbox oil change), again the cap and fleece are something we agreed to at the time of signing, another thing that I have lost out on.

The total should include a new momo gear knob but I can't find it on the invoice and it had to be mailed to me, strange....
I need to rest now after writing all that!!!

I think the knob is in the parts section. If that's (53 quid + vat) true you got ripped off bigtime. I got my momo knob for 30 quid from halfords. There are some more expensive one's but I don't think they're far more than 40 quid. The labour costs are exorbitant if all they did was change the oils. They'll lifted the car, opened the holes and let it flow out. Refilling and bleeding the AYC is a little more complicated but the whole operation shouldn't have taken more than 2 hours for highly skilled mechanics.
Oli,
I hear you but to be honest I'd not trust a mitsu dealer to service my car, I recently had my front seats fixed by the mistu dealer, all they had to do was replace the rod and another part for the recliner and that took them a full day, a bit worrying.
What I do want is the dealer stamp in my log book....not too much choice in where to go really

Just so you all know, I dropped a mail to Ralliart Dudley a day ago and everything was sorted out in a day, just goes to show you what a bit of directed moaning can do
Anyway I'm now happier except for the prices I have to pay

dedeffa....If only Mitsubishi Japan knew how their loyal British customers are treated when it comes to customer service!! If you want to see what proper service is about then come over to Japan....if they say they will do something ....they actualy will!!
It would be nice to not have to chase people up at all.
On another point does anyone have any ideas for getting the infamous dealer service stamp from a decent place without paying over the odds?
As I said I was very happy with the quality of the service but the price was painful, as will the mods I'm getting done be.

Only my personal experiences but every time I deal with Ralliart I find myself treated excellently.
The boys there know what they're talking about, whether they're sales, service or management and I've always been treated superbly.
Owning an Evo isn't cheap, it's a specialist motor and I'm sure that there are service bods and companies out there who could service your Evo cheaper, however, cheaper is not necessarily the best option (otherwise we'd all drive Scoobies!!
)
As far as I'm concerned I wouldn't trust my pride and joy with anyone else. If I take my VI in to Ralliart I know it's going to be looked after. So far, my history with them has seen me having my old FTO, the wife's Galant VR4 and my Evo VI looked after by them, and look after them (and us) they do.
Just my experiences folks but I reckon they're top guys!
