Unhappy **MODS--you wish you didn't do**

Well we all have them, those mods you thought were gonna be great, then a few weeks later you wish you never wasted your time.

It could be that you paid too much for something that really isn't worth it for minimal performance (ie. GReddy catback $500 for a few hp). Maybe you did something to your engine that decreased your MPG and thought it wasn't really necessary. Suspension to bumpy? Did something you do to your ride get you pulled over by the cops and you wish it was gone? Did something say OEM fitment and was far from it? Or you plain just didnt like the looks of an exterior mod when you got it.

Use this thread to bash sh*tty companies or just to let off steam. Maybe it will help others not make the same mistake. Ill start...

I got carbon fiber depos cause i though they would look great on my TG lancer, And they did for a few months but I just got sick of them...too much going on. SO I debadged my trunk and put the stock tails back on. Now it looks alot cleaner. I wish I had that 160$ back for springs....

they're for sale if anyones interested, PM me

Ok the sh!ttiest mod I made was buying wheels from wheelmax.com followed closely by the AFC, reason being it was 270 bux to do very little. And third was backing out the screw on the MAF, have yet to get that back to normal too.

every thing I did was a waste of money. Thats my problem is i get something then get rid of it a few months to a year. If you all only knew the money i spent on my lancer only to get rid of it. LOL now i'm trying to get rid of my car and get a new one............Somebody seriously needs to kick me in the head and set me straight.

I'm a person who keeps going back and forth - love the lancer - wants to get rid of the Lancer. It's been for sale twice and I have yet to follow through with it - so I've decided not to mod it whatsoever, and drive it completely stock, until it's sold -which is alright with me - while saving up a deposit for a used s2k (30k Canadian), or WRX.

the only mod for me would be the rrm k-bar, although it looks nice and does change the feel of the car, it wasn't effective for me in autox. but my other mods (extra set of rims and nice sticky tires) erase that memory of losing some money selling the k-bar to someone

he's slow because he didn't go all the way... a intercooled lancer at 7 psi eats up stock wrx's... a five speed non intercooled at 7psi does as well. I know as i've been both!

Some people are never satisfied no matter how fast they get... just like me
