ancer06 just can't take it that some people can invest enough money to have a nice car.

"good job investing all your money into a car that will always be a slow, four door. you're really smart for doing that."

wow.

you know, i used to be of the opinion "you want a fast car, buy a fast car". which is still sorta my opinion.....but, owning a lancer has changed what i think. first of all, a car can never be fast enough. until a car comes stock with a completely unmodifiable profile....there will always be a want(need) to unrestrict untapped resources.

and in my opinion, a 14 or 13 second car is by no means slow. maybe compared to a real drag car that runs 10s or below.....but for a street car that starts at $15k....that's damn fast. a stock mustang gt runs what, like 15seconds?

besides that....the lancer is more of a rally car than a drag car. with the right suspension mods, engine tuning, etc., it can be a damn nice rally car.

and also, i respect someone who can take a car and improve on it and still make it look nice and perform well. anybody can run to a dealer and slap (daddy's) money down and drive off with a fast car.

yep

cupoz. i agree, the lancer isn't for drag, but people are fixing it up like it was made for that. i know you can make your car faster, but if you wanna drag, get a small car. ozracingvw is just mad cause i make him feel small.

and running 14's isn't bad, its just weird to be happy with that time when the new altimas (ugly as they may be) run around the same times.

if i was into the whole racing light to light thing, i would have got a tiny civic and invested my money into the enginge, exhaust, intake, etc. but i like the way the lancer looks, it has potential.

now ozracingwv, what do you have to say now? (i'm sure he'll have somethin, he/she always does. oh and i'm not jealous, that's what you are man, you are on boni's *** man. just ease up tough guy.

Enough you two. Chill out. I may not be a moderator, but, I've been around long enough to smell a thread that's about to be closed. You guys have a problem with each other, take it up in PMs instead of trying to act like big men on the internet. No one is impressed.

As for the Lancer being designed as a rally car... not really. It shares a chassis with a Rally car, and after TONS of reinforcements, head work, and other suspension improvement is how Rhys Millen's Group 2 car is at the top of it's division.

Really, you want to actually compete this car, look into SCCA autocross. This is the kind of car, with that chassis and good suspension/wheel/tires, that can really dominate on the road.

Oh, and as for the civic idea, I've smoked plenty of civics light to light with this car, and the only way a Civic is useful is with a turbo and/or a costly B16A swap. Simply put, you really want an inexpensive light to light, the Lancer would be a better car than a Civic.

Or a Civic that already has a B16C (older and better Si) or a new K20A3 (new Si) in it...best would be the A2 from a Type R.

I remember reading about the lancer in 2 seperate mags...one was in superstreet and the other was in import tuner or sport compact..but one of the featured was modern image's blue & yellow 2002 oz. it was junk though. those writers kept writing more on the descriptive side then actual performance facts n testing n stuff.

You can't run from what you've said ancer06. Everyone else sees my point and that is worth a thousand arguments with you. Have a great time pretending to know what you're talking about. You agreed with cupoznj just to disagree with your quote from Boni's comments. Talk about a bull****ter. You don't even remember what you've said. So does that make cupoznj Boni's boyfriend too? He said everything I said and then some. Funny how you agree with cupoznj when you are posting in the forums, but I am an idiot when you are PM'ing me. We said the same damn thing! You are an ignorant hypocrite.

If you had a clue, you wouldn't have said anything about me feeling small. You make things so personal. The fact that you are a poser is quite nonpersonal, as everyone has been a beginner just like you. The only difference is some of us got past that and got involved, which gave us experience. I've never had a problem or fight with anyone who had any experience, only those who pretend to and want to fight about every little thing. What is your problem with Boni? Jealous because his car is on the Road//Race page? Or that he is getting his car into a magazine that you can't even read? So sad. Believe it or not, some people see right through your lies and know you are just a bull****ter. Sorry I'm one of THOSE people.

Sorry to the moderators for this rant, I am not going to fall prey to ancer06's BS anymore, I have already put him on my ignore list. I won't continue to use this thread like this anymore. Just wanted to clear the air.
