megan racing seat

I can't seem to drive for long in my car before my leg starts to go numb.At six feet I sit like i'm riding a tricycle,up over and on,not down back and in .I must say I love everything this car has to offer but the seats are a deal breaker. So after much research for safety price and quality Its come down to Megan or Arospeed/Recaro.Recaro's rep is well known of course but I know little of Megan They pass dot and fed standards but living in Maine I have no chance of checking the quality or comfort and figured I'ld ask around first for any negative feedback before I purchace one in july.At $250 vs$650 the megans a go,and they can't possibly come even close to sucking as bad as the stock setup.www.meganracing.com

Could you post a link to some information on this? I'm interested in finding a good, cheap(er) seat.

im not trying to steal anyone's thunder. but i have a pair of Japanese made racing seats that resembles Sparco style seats but at a fraction of the cost. they are in my lancer and i think they hold up pretty well, it is made of cloth fabric on the outside and memory foam on the inside. micro reclinable settings. PM, IM, or email me for more info and for some pics. i have multiple colors in stock and also pre-made brackets for the lancer and 4 point racing harnesses from SABELT.

I've heard some safety concerns on the cheaper seats. Not sure where Megan ranks in that list, but the price seems to be about the same as the other brands known to break off of their brackets. You can buy quality seats for under $650 though. My Corbeau seats cost $400 each, and Cobra is a respectable brand at around $300. Both of those brands (as well as Momo, Sparco, and Recaro of course) are used by many professional rally racers all over. If the seat can handle off road performance driving, they can handle whatever you dish out.

corbeau seats are built to last my friend had his corbeaus in his 510 race car in the mid 80's and took them out when he sold car and kept them stored in his garage -- many years went by (till 3 years ago) when i hosed them off and installed them into mightymax and they worked great till it burned down still comfet after all those years if i had money i'ld buy corbeaus in my lancer
