gaurantee Rob won't sell you a product that causes problems, I'm assuming no and would be real surprised if it did since other companies headers don't make the CE light come on.

Kamikaze header does trip the CEL. With an 02 bong it may not. The first 02 sensor is before the first cat anyway. I don't remember whether the second is before or after the 2nd cat, but if it's before then it may trigger a CEL. Wish I could remember but I'm going braindead.

2nd 02 sensor is before the 2nd cat. I thought the kamikaze header/CE light was sporadic and due to the rough work of the design and not having an exact seal somewhere.

Nah, it just takes more time for some than others. Everyone's (that I've read of owning one) has gone off so far. Hell, stock up on MIL eliminators now. There'll be way more CELs in the future I'm sure.

CEL would be due to the 2 o2 snsors comparing voltage. Impossible to eliminate CEL when removing first cat.

Almost Nothing is Impossible

I'm sure someone will find a fix for the CEL, especially if it's just due to a header and 02 sensors!

sure there is, just get a MIL eliminator... its easy to install - just splice it into the positive lead

I agree with Hobie and in my case, the CEL did trip once after many miles and about 4 months of running with the Kamikaze Header.

I disconnected my battery for about 10 minutes and reset it the ECU. Now it has been about 400 miles since the CEL tripped and it hasn't gone off again YET!

My gasket on the down pipe was broken when I took it out of the box, so we just glued it back together an installed it like that.

I will be replacing that gasket this Saturday with a higher quality gasket, so we'll see if I ever need to install my MIL eliminators, which, btw, were made to be used with Mustangs so the wires are different.

Somebody already beat you to it. I don't like multiple threads on one topic...

They are not emissions legal. Right now they are retailing for $550.00. We only have 2 in-stock and they might be the only 2 made if do not get a good response. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Be happy there's interest from more than one company. No disrespect to RRM of course, but with no competition there is no progress.

Header is progessing. Flanges are on the way back from laser cutter. From there we start building and testing. It will still be a little time. But working on it. Might supply a MIL with it because it is gonna set CEL off. It has to because precat is eliminated. ECU will cry and scream like a ***** when it realizes voltage from first O2 and second O2 are the same!
