2002 OZ vs. 2003 SVT Focus ???

I did some checking and the SVT has 145 lbs of torque at around 5800rpm vs. our Lancer which is 130 at about 4500. However, his redline is 7200 and ours is 6200. This gives him a big advantage because he doesn't have to shift till way later.
I'm curious to see if my new AEM CAI will make any difference against his SVT. Probably not much, but hopefully a little.

SVT Focus: 170 hp, 130 tq, 2800 lb
Lancer: 120 hp, 130 tq, 2700 lb
Torque is more important. The horsepower only makes a difference around 5000 rpm on the Focus. Ford did not do very good engineering on that one. Any race bred engine will make every effort to have at least as much torque as it does horsepower. Smaller engines should have more torque than horsepower actually.
