Oh, Basics aren't kids toys.

It's just that when you've tried SS, Basic just doesn't feel as good. Like sugar-free chocolate...

Congrats, BTW!

We run basics on our drag car and SS on our RA. They are both very good and I am pretty critical.

OH YEAAAAAAAAAA BASICS I'M GOING TO GET ALL THE WAY! I'M SO STOKED. i'M GONNA ORDER A SET NOW....

OH WAIT! IT'S NOT THAT EASY. I HAVE AN ES

sorry for the sarcasm on http://www.mitsubishiparts.com/oe_parts_catalog.html
the 'oz strut bearing' is not called OZ STRUT BEARING.

Suspension components
1. Coil spring
2. Dust shield
3. Front hub
4 . Knuckle
5. Spring insulator
6. Strut
7. Strut bumper
8. Strut mount
9. Upper spring seat
10. Wheel bearings

so which one is the "oz strut bearing" 1 - 10?

I would assume that it's #9.

I vote for 8 and 7 (the plate with the bolts and the little plastic spacer)

May the Force be with you

The part number for the bearing is MR272946.

If you go to https://www.mitsubishiparts.com/oe_parts_catalog.html. Search for the bearing by part number. You should get 3 results. Pick the middle one:

MR272946 $10.50 $0.00 $7.88
Front suspension - Suspension components - Upper mount - Bearing
Bearing Back - 2.0 liter 2002 - 2005

They all have the same parts number, hence probably the same part. It'd be best if you call them directly and give them the part number. It's verified that the bearing is from an OZ. I asked them and it is indeed from the OZ rally. Thanks engineerboy for giving me the necessary info to get that verified .

Hope that clears up any confusion.

Does the list price include two bearings or just one?

because all you REALLY need is that little plastic spacer (bearing), right?

And that would be
List price, core charge, mitsubishiparts.com price for each bearing

There's not a "free" option

$7.88 is a good price already....when I called on the phone they were charging 12.98 for 1 (being unaware of the online prices). When I went to the local dealership, they did not have any in stock and had to order them. They were charging $19 a piece ! Just do the math.

It may say on the website, but the mitsuparts.com site is separate from the Renton Mitsu warehouse, even though they're at the same place. Go fig. Now that we have the part # for sure, I'd just order off the web and avoid the hassle of dealing with a person who doesn't know what the web is offering.

Does anyone have the part number for the upper strut mount that you need? I can't seem to find it on https://www.mitsubishiparts.com without getting a damn "timed out" message.
