front strut bar i know what it does
rear strust bar i know what it does

whats the difference between rear lower tie bar and rear lower pearches

and also for my curiousity is there anything we could do for our lancers for the front lower part and what would be the best way to approach this get everything or you dont need evrything and if i didnt mention parts that would help please add them on

thanks

i know there must be a search for all this things just hoping someone could just explain this all in one post instead of searching every item i think needed

Rear Lower Tie bar

Used to stiffen the chasis of your car.
Basicly when you turn your car will not look like it's going to roll over.

Rear Lower Perches are used to hold the rear sway bar.
Sway bar is used to connect one shock absorber with the other one.
Just transfers the inertia (force).
If you would have to buy an aftermarket sway bar you would have to
get better rear perches too, because our stock ones are not strong enough.

Sway bar is cool, but you don't need new perches if you are not going to
get an aftermarket sway bar.

Yup...you might wanna stiffen up the front end a bit if you are going that far though.

I already have the lower rear tie bar, am getting the upper rear strut bar, and plan on getting the rear swaybar and perches. If that doesn't stiffen it up enough, then I'll look at new springs.

Which should be enough, unless you're involved in some serious rallycross.

One of the primary reasons to 'stiffen' the rear suspension is to eliminate the understeer both inherant and built-in to FWD cars. Under normal driving, understeer gives the car a more controlled feel, while a slight bit of oversteer feels like the rear wheels are tracking the front during a sharp turn.

I've never raced my li'l car and can't really elaborate more.. but there is a definite difference in handling 'feel' between my ride and the RWD Fords I drive at work.

There was a fairly massive thread about Tein coilovers in which Hob and Brian imparted some serious spring knowledge. And I'll be damned if I can't find the link.. but it's around somewhere.

Yar.

the springs may actually reduce oversteer

Found it..

Good discussion on suspension tuning through coilovers after you've done all the bars/ties/etc.
