I have a 03 lancer es and i want to paint the grill black...my car is gray and i dont like the chrome on gray look...any suggestions?

 

take the grill off the car
remove the black plastic pieces
rough up the chrome with sandpaper
spray on a coat of primer
spray black paint
clearcoat if you want
re-assemble

it's really easy, I would suggest doing a clearcoat too, it's a little more difficult than paint, you have to get it on really thick every coat, but not let it run either, there's a fine balance, but the clearcoat helps protect against rock chips

Yeah I didn't clear coat and now it looks like swiss cheese, so I need to redo it.
