wait wait wait.... before you go cutting off ur Rebar. Listen here.

On the Rebar there should be a metal piece that is welded in 8 places or so and it has 90 degree bends in it. cut that piece off, then this is the kinda tricky part. see the liecense plate area. it needs to be pushed back so it fits correctly. this is hard to explain with text. but if you take some pics of the bumper and of the rebar i will edit them tonite after work and explain it in detail so its not toooo confusing. you can keep your rebar i believe. just needs a little adjusting.

ok are you talking about those 2 little bars on the outside of the re-bar in the middle? the car is in the shop so i cant get to it today but i drew a picture of what i think your talking about

ok yea ****ty image but if i am not mistaken i am thinking your means those areas i colored in red they look like extra little support braces and there is 2 of em. alos my car is a 2004 so the license plate is on the trunk not the rear bumper its the evo 8 kit

thats what im talkin about. i cut that off and then had to modify the liecense plate area a little bit. i also used the the bottom 2 holes to hold my plate on and it works great.
