I concur with Phil. I recently replaced my 2G TB with the non turbo TB and along with the "kinve cut edge" if works as a 65mm.

I eliminated the elbow completely. I adquired my already finished/prepared TB from http://www.throttlebodys.com/DSMTBs.htm . The guy offeres you an exchage core program.
I have tons of pics of my on conversion but if I am not mistaking the main difference is the top 3 nipples are facing 180 degrees in the opposite direction. Other than that you might need to do a ohm check when repositioning the TPS, sometimes is not needed when you mark them correctly.

i had to put stock back on, could not fix the high idle issue!! but gain was pretty nice. Very nice hp/tq and respond with the swap!!!

no you wont get the boxer sound. you will get a deeper exhaust note and a louder top end.

 

So it will be deeper, I guess that that is okay, ugh....I hope it sound bad *** though, lol
